PQA Plus® Progress in 2010
Throughout 2010, the Pork Checkoff certified 51,745 producers, developed a stronger program for industry sustainability and helped us make significant progress toward our goal of having all sites assessed in 2010. As of the end of 2010, more than 74% of the industry’s pigs are now raised in sites that are PQA Plus assessed and are upholding industry guidelines for animal well-being. This commitment to PQA Plus shows how committed our industry is to providing a quality product.
