There are many great benefits to this FSIS-approved effort, including new, simplied names for 14 cuts of fresh pork that are easier for consumers to understand. Some of pork's new names are similar to beef names. This program also recommends you add basic preparation tips to your on-pack labels.
Implementing these familiar cut names and making your labels more consumer-friendly can help you better merchandise fresh pork to increase sales and boost margins.
